On New Years Eve both James and I had to work, which was fine. I was fortunate to be able to work from home and it was nice to be able to cook some breakfast and make tea before settling in to work.

We had a light lunch of vegetable soup and rice and got back to work.

After we wrapped up work for the day, we got ready to go out. We had made plans to go see our favorite disco band play that night. :) It's actually the band that played at our very first date so we were excited to go and be able to see them perform again, and of course, dance to some funky 70s tunes.

We left about 7:30 and planned to go eat dinner and so many restaurants were close for NYE. We were actually a little surprised as in our town in the past, a lot of places have stayed open and had deals for the day. We eventually ended up at Carrabas and.... it really wasn't that great. They had changed their menu since the last time we had been there and there just weren't very many options. But anyway, we went on to the dance afterward and it was a lot of fun!

We really enjoyed the evening and I was happy to get my midnight kiss from my love. ;)
